Websphere Express Version 5

Virtual400 was asked by IBM to join them in early testing of the new Websphere products, renamed Websphere Express. Beginning in November of 2002 we installed an early release of the server side of express and worked with IBM identifying bugs and providing feedback regarding configuration and development using it.

Most of our JSP and java development prior to that was deployed on Tomcat servers. After using the express product and it's robust "all in one" development / deployment capability we are switching all java application serving to Express. We were so impressed with it we made the commitment to upgrade and migrate to iSeries 8xx servers from our current configuration of 270 / 620 / 740 systems. Over the next 12 months your accounts will be migrated to the newest technologies available for hardware on the iSeries platform.
