8/29/02:

Dedicated FTP server.

Part of our V5R1 upgrade included the installation of an additional T-1 communications line into our facility. This work will be completed on 9/15/02. When the phone company turns the line over to us we intend on configuring a dedicated FTP line.

What that means is that you will no longer be able to use v400y.virtual400.net for FTP. You will be instructed to use ftp.v400y.virtual400.net to use FTP. This frees up bandwidth for our users that need to have faster access for emulation.

We will be rolling out Development Studio Client to our users that wish to develop with this software. When we do, we will create a different DNS name (ca.v400y.virtual400.net) for this product. Once again the reason is because of the bandwidth requirement for this software.

These changes will begin on 9/5/02 and be completed 9/20/02.
